- Oncological and benign laparoscopic surgery of the digestive system (obesity, small and large intestine, appendix, gallstones)
- Painless procedures for anal conditions (hemorrhoids, mucosal prolapse, fissure, pilonidal cyst)
He believes that modern surgery must be precise, based on the latest guidelines, minimally traumatic and fully tailored to the needs of each patient.
Training Young Surgeons
As a consultant accredited by the Swedish Surgical Society, he has trained many young surgeons in laparoscopic surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction and anal surgery, as well as in emergency surgery.
He is known for the calm and clarity with which he guides both trainees and patients, in and out of the operating room.
Clinical Responsibility, Collegiality and a Human Approach
His many years in senior management positions in Sweden, on surgical boards, committees for complex cases and investigations of adverse medical events (malpractice investigations) have given him a deep understanding of the scientific, ethical and legal aspects of medical practice.
This experience has helped him develop a calm, responsible and balanced approach to decision-making, to working with colleagues and to communicating with patients.
Philosophy
“For me, surgery is not only a technically and scientifically excellent act; above all it is a relationship of trust — with the patient, with colleagues, with the members of the operating team and with the relative waiting anxiously outside the operating room.
To each of my patients I offer not only my long experience and technical skill, but also complete honesty, calm and optimism throughout the course of the illness, and steady guidance until recovery.”
